Our collaboration with OKE Charity started by building a prototype using Augmented Reality was introduced to schools in South Auckland and was very well received by teachers and students.

This has led us to a new development in the project, taking our learning from focus groups in the AR app, now to a whole new level with a digital companion that helps you grow vegetables with a virtual version of your real world plant, reminding you and teaching you all about the plant kingdom, science and matauranga Māori.

Our aim with OKE is to give kids the opportunity to get outside and interact with each other, sharing knowledge and building relationships. Children growing up healthy and strong both physically and mentally, leading to a positive outlook and future.
